Community Against Sexual Harm (CASH) will be holding an evening benefit this Thursday, May 16, from 5:30-8 p.m. at the Sierra 2 Center, Curtis Halll, 2791 24th Street in Sacramento.  “An Evening in May, A Cause For CASH” is sponsored by Sutter Health, Sierra Health Foundation, Kaiser Permanente, and UC Davis. SACRAMENTO, CA - A Sacramento man faces allegations he molested a teenage relative on multiple occasions over the past four years, says the Sacramento Police Department.

Daniel Kirk, 42, was taken into custody Friday following an investigation.

The alleged sexual abuse took place at least once in Sacramento and on other occasions outside of the jurisdiction, investigators say.

Kirk is a coach for a youth baseball team in the north part of the city. SACRAMENTO - A Sacramento woman was arrested Tuesday night in connection with the death of her infant child nearly three months earlier.

According to Sacramento County Sheriff's Sergeant Jason Ramos, deputies conducted a welfare check on a possible newborn child at a residence on the 3800 block of Wildrose Way on Jan. 25, following information received from Mercy General Hospital staff members.

Mercy General staff had informed deputies that 24-year-old Courtney Addington had been admitted earlier that day with "complications from excessive bleeding."  An ensuing medical examination revealed Addington had recently given birth, despite her insistence to the contrary, Ramos said.

Deputies then conducted a search at Addington's apartment where they discovered a deceased infant child concealed in a trash bag underneath a bed in one of the rooms, said Ramos.
