Suspects in Arden-Arcade murder arrested | Crime

SACRAMENTO, CA - Two young men have been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a 27-year old man on Wyda Way on May 22.

Victim Kerry Burns was found with multiple gunshot wounds in his upper body on the 2100 block of Wyda just before 8:30 that night, said Deputy Jason Ramos with the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department.

Detectives have arrested a 17-year-old in Sacramento and 19-year-old Victor Bernard Rodgers for the murder, Ramos said. Rodgers was taken into custody in Las Vegas.  Rodgers and the teen were each booked on a murder charge and are ineligible for bail, Ramos said.

Investigators believe the suspects and victim were acquaintances and the shooting erupted over an argument about money.
