SACRAMENTO, CA - Two men were arrested in connection to the death of a man who was shot in the buttocks.

Ceasar Williams, 27, and Michael Nunally, 28, were charged with the murder of the 29-year-old man who was shot outside of a Motel 6 in the Arden area on the night of Sept. 25, Sacramento County sheriff's Deputy Jason Ramos said.

The investigation into the shooting led police to Nunally and Williams.

Ramos said Williams was arrested on Tuesday and booked into Sacramento County Jail; Nunally was arrested at the Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center, where we was already in custody for a parole violation.

Deputies continue to investigate the shooting because there may have been other suspects involved, Ramos said.

ARDEN, CA - A 60-year-old man died Thursday night after being run over by a cab on Fulton Avenue in the Arden area, but California Highway Patrol and UC Davis medical personnel say the taxi was likely the second vehicle to hit him.

CHP spokesman Jim Frost said officers were called to Fulton Ave. just north of Hurley Way in response to a report of a man being hit by a cab.

Upon arrival, officers found the taxi driver at the scene, but the victim, Dale Phillip Jensen, had already been transported to UC Davis medical center, said Frost.

According to Frost, the cab driver was cooperative with CHP officers and explained he was making a u-turn at a low rate of speed, did not seen Jensen laying in the road, and ran him over. An ensuing investigation confirmed the cab driver's story, said Frost.

RIO LINDA, CA - A Rio Linda man was beaten with a baseball bat during an apparent home invasion Wednesday morning.

Tim Wallin, 18, was hospitalized with serious injuries after being attacked by three men, according to his father.

Another young man who was holding an ice pack to his back told Sacramento County sheriff's deputies that he, too, was struck by the intruders who forced their way through the front door.

A neighbor said the home at 1006 G Street was the scene of frequent drug activity. 

The neighbor said he found the activity especially upsetting because the house is directly across the street from the Rio Linda Preparatory Academy.

Wallin's father, Robert, said his son had been kicked out of the family's home because of bad behavior, but insisted he was not involved in drug dealing.
