Sacramento police arrest 2 in $200K State Fair robbery
SACRAMENTO: On Thursday, the Sacramento Police Department made an arrest in a robbery case stemming from 2010.
A Sacramento police report released Friday stated Gene Felder, 34, and Antonio Harvey, 52, were arrested in connection with the armed robbery of employees at a food service company working the California State Fair.
According to the report, Felder and Harvey slipped into the cash room of the food company around 10 p.m. on July 21, 2010. The two masked men then held the employees up at gunpoint and made off with $200,000 in cash.
During the initial investigation of the incident, Harvey, an employee of the food company at the time, called police and claimed he had been kidnapped. However, an investigation into his claim proved it false, leading detectives to focus on him as a suspect in the robbery, per the report.
Detectives were able to link Felder to the crime during their investigation of Harvey, according to the report.
